2017 WORLD BOWLING TOUR FINALS TO SHOW LIVE ON ESPN

LAUSANNE, November 3 – The World Bowling Tour (WBT) finals will take place February 26th, 2017 at The Orleans in Las Vegas directly following the completion of the USBC Masters.  The series final which will again be produced by the Professional Bowlers Association (PBA) and shown live on ESPN will feature the top three ranked men and the top three ranked women from 2015 & 2016 World Bowling Tour events.

With just two World Bowling Tour competitions left, the PBA World Championship in Nevada, USA, Nov. 29-Dec. 11, and the Qatar Open in Doha, Qatar, Dec. 10-16, the top seeded bowlers come from a diverse selection of nations.

The top five men in WBT points, compiled during the two-year rolling points schedule are Martin Larsen, Sweden, 458 points; Dom Barrett, England, 413; Osku Palermaa, Finland, 399; Jason Belmonte, Australia, 340 and Sean Rash, USA, 316.

The top five women are Danielle McEwan, USA, 663 points; Liz Johnson, USA 421; Kelly Kulick, USA, 354; Cherie Tan, Singapore, 307, and Diana Zavjalova, Latvia, 304.

Prize money in each division will be $20,000, $10,000 and $5,000 and 2016 saw Barrett and McEwan win the men’s and women’s top divisions, respectively.

The WBT Finals can be viewed live on ESPN on Sunday, Feb. 26 at 3 p.m. Eastern Time.  The telecast will immediately follow the live telecast of the USBC Masters.
