DOMINIC BARRETT WINS THE WORLD BOWLING TOUR MUNICH (BRUNSWICK EURO CHALLENGE)
MUNICH, March 26 – England’s Dominic Barrett wins the Brunswick Euro Challenge beating Jojoe Yannaphon from Thailand in the final match of the World Bowling Tour’s first stop of 2017. Barrett headed into the final step as the number one player and Yannaphon beat Stu Williams to qualify for his spot in the final match against Barrett.
Barrett dominated against a huge 345-player field. Athletes from 37 countries made up the star studded line up including Parker Bohn III, Sean Rash, Marshall Kent and Danielle McEwan from the USA, Francois Louw of South Africa, Colombia’s Anggie Ramirez Perea, Singapore’s Shayna Ng, Jazreel Tan, Cherie Tan and Daphne Tan, the Malaysian National Team and Sweden’s Martin Larsen just to name a few.
With a re-entry system which allowed athletes to have multiple chances at qualifying for the finals, the scores were high and the already tough field was made even tougher with several 300 games being executed in the final steps. The quality of players and games being played were an excellent start to the World Bowling Tour in 2017 and fans can anticipate more heat from the next stop in Oklahoma on June 26.
