INAUGURAL WORLD JUNIOR BOWLING CHAMPIONSHIPS SET TO HIT THE STAGE IN PARIS

LAUSANNE, March 11 – For the first time in their history, World Bowling will stage the World Junior Bowling Championships for athletes aged 13 to 18 years this March 17th – 23rd in Paris, France.  A total of 110 athletes from 35 countries are set to showcase their talents and compete in five separate medal events, including a new mixed gender format for the Teams Event.

The finals for the Championships will be a one day spectacle, staged at the Institut du Judo in the center of Paris. The set up will consist of a two lane Brunswick installation produced by the Valcke Group and designed to maximize spectator experience and accommodate for the full HD TV production of the finals that will occur.

The qualifying for the medal rounds will take place at the Plaza Bowling in Saint Maximin and will be available to watch on World Bowling’s Youtube Channel.  All qualifying and medal rounds will utilise the Current Frame Scoring system which has been used in previous World Bowling Tour Final events, the ABF Tour Finals and the Asian Games.
